Mountaineering expedition has changed its
meaning, scope and objective over many decades starting from the idea of
reaching the highest summits in remote mountain ranges to being a recreational
sport today. Mountaineering expedition today is a social high altitude trekking
activity with the goal to summit a Himalayan peak as result. Still today like
in early days mountaineering expedition requires high fitness level,
determination, ability to cope with weeks of isolation and psychological
ability to collaborate with a small group of people over 4-6 weeks.
Many expedition climbs are not highly
technical but operating on high altitude increases level of difficulty and even

Everest Expedition
The Sagarmatha (forehead of the sky) in Nepali is known as Mt. Everest in the world. Mt. Everest with the altitude of 8848m, is the highest peak in the earth, so, it is also known as the roof of the world. The South face of this recognized mountain lies in Nepal where as the North face is said to be laid in China’s autonomous state Tibet.
Cho Oyu Expedition
The sixth highest mountain in the world is Cho Oyu (8201m). Cho Oyu Expedition is a classic Himalayan climb and considered the easiest 8000m peak to climb via its Northwest Ridge, with no technical climbing, big snowfields, and little objective danger. Mt. Cho Oyu is easily accessed by 4-wheel-drive vehicle from Tingri, often guided, and is the first 8,000-meter peak for most climbers.
Shishapangma Expedition
Shishapangma is the 14th highest peak of the world with an altitude of 8012m. This mountain is considered as one of the easiest 8000m mountains to climb. Shishapangma is also the highest peak in the Langtang Himal area.
