Christmas and New Year tour

Day-to-Day Itinerary:

21 Dec: Day 01: Arrival and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu (1350m).

The representative of Snowy Horizon assists to give you reception at Tribhuvan International Airport upon your arrival and transfers you to check-in at the pre-booked hotel in Kathmandu for BB Plan overnight accommodation.

Dec 22: Day 02: Mountain flight, Kathmandu city, and Nagarkot tour.

In the early morning, you will be taken for 1 Hour fixed-wing Mountain-flight to experience one of the unique adventures possible only in Nepal. The spectacular views of the four highest mountains above 8000m are Mt. Everest (8848m); Lhotse (8516m), Mt. Makalu (8481m), and Mt. Cho Oyu (8201m) along with hundreds of other peaks over 6000m to below 8000m including the most beautiful Mountain Mt. Ama Dablam (6814m) in the world en-route will be shown. Your sightseeing trip will start at 9 AM after breakfast and a mountain flight. We will provide a private vehicle and a professional tour guide. The major sightseeing attractions are; Pasupatinath temple, Boudhanath, Budhanilkantha (The Sleeping Vishnu), Swayambhunath (the Monkey temple), and “The Kathmandu Durbar Square” accompanied by Kumari the Living Goddess. Later you will be taken by the drive to Nagarkot and overnight at the hotel with sunset viewing and BB Plan.

Dec 23: Day 03: Explore Nagarkot, Bhaktapur, Khokana, Bungamati and Patan Durbar Square.

Enjoy the sunrise view from Nagarkot, stroll around the hill and drive to Bhaktapur, explore Durbar Square and continue to Bungamati via Khokana the traditional Newari villages in Kathmandu valley. Visit Patan Durbar Square after lunch in the town and drive back to Kathmandu, farewell dinner at a typical Nepalese cultural restaurant, and overnight accommodation on BB Plan.

Dec 24: Day 04: Kathmandu to Chitwan drive en-route white water rafting; Christmas Eve.

After breakfast we drive from Kathmandu to Charaundi and enjoy white water Rafting on the Trishuli River for about 4 Hrs., take lunch, and then continue to drive to Chitwan National park, the check-in resort. After refreshment drink and briefing about activities to be done in the Jungle Safari by the manager for the following days and with short rest, you will be taken to Sunset View along the riverbank, have dinner and watch the slide show on wildlife at the Resort.

Dec 25: Day 05: Full-day jungle safari activities and Christmas day celebration.

In Chitwan at National Park, you will enjoy a full day of Wildlife Safari activities such as Elephant back safari or Jeep drive in the Deep forest, Nature walks, Canoe trip or boat ride, Elephant bathing, bird watching, Tharu Village tour, etc. as per time permits. Trained local naturalists and guides will guide all of you. Animals and birds to be seen are rhinoceros, crocodiles, bears, monkeys, several species of deer, pythons, peacocks, hornbills, and woodpeckers (amongst more than 450 species of birds recorded in the park); overnight at a resort on the full board meal plan.

Dec 26: Day 06: Drive from Chitwan to Lumbini and explore the Maya Devi Temple

Drive from Chitwan to Lumbini (the birthplace of Lord Buddha) for about six hours to observe the Maya Devi temple (Maya Devi was the mother of Lord Buddha) including an important and historic structure the Ashoka pillar which shows the particular place where Buddha was born and so many other Buddhism related monuments. Apart from that, Lumbini has ruins of various stupas and monasteries. The overnight accommodation is arranged as per the confirmed category hotel on the BB plan.

Dec 27: Day 07: Visit Tilaurakot; drive to Pokhara and transfer to hotel.

After breakfast in the morning proceed to Tilaurakot for visit and explore the ancient Palace of Lord Buddha (Durbar) and then drive you to Pokhara (950m-6/7 Hrs.) by private vehicle, drop at the hotel in BB Plan accommodation, free time or exploring Pokhara Fewa Lakeside street.

Dec 28: Day 08: Sarangkot sunrise and day sightseeing in Pokhara valley.

Early morning at around 5 AM we drive you to Sarangkot hill point (1600m) for a sunrise panorama view with the golden morning light in the mountains of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Fishtail-The Machhapuchhre (6993m), all Annapurna ranges and many more with Mt. Manaslu (8163m) on the North surrounding of Pokhara. Then your city tour to Pokhara begins with visiting Bindabasini Temple, Seti River Gorge, David's fall, Tibetan Monastery, Begnas, and Rupa Lakes, and overnight in a hotel with BB Plan accommodation.

Dec 29: Day 09: Explore the world peace pagoda drive to Milanchock Hemja, and hike to Astam.

Your today’s tour to Pokhara begins with visiting and exploring the world peace pagoda with Pokhara city panorama and continues to drive to Hemja 1100m) by car. Now you begin your hike from Milanchock to Astam (1520m) takes approximately three hours. Your overnight accommodation is set in Annapurna Eco Village Astam (BLD).

Dec 30: Day 10: Explore mountain panorama hike to Dhampus and drive back to Pokhara.

Early in the morning, you may watch the view of Annapurna, Fishtail, and Dhaulagiri Mountain ranges with full panorama and many more peaks with sunshine (golden view) and then after breakfast hike from Astam to Dhampus (1700m). This takes approximately four hours and drives back to Pokhara, overnight at the hotel BB plan.

Dec 31: Day 11: Enjoy street festival; boating in Lake; celebrate New Year's Eve.

After breakfast, Fewa Lake boating for a couple of hours, visit Barahi Temple situated amid Fewa Lake; explore and explore the street festival and Celebrate New Year's Eve in Pokhara; Happy New Year party at night.

Jan 01: Day 12: Experience paragliding, drive to Bandipur and explore the typical village & culture.

After breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Bandipur, have lunch and explore the typical Bandipur village and local Newari culture and history of the old trade route of the area, and overnight enjoy at the lodge in AP Plan.

Jan 02: Day 13: Drive from Bandipur to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Drive from Bandipur to Kathmandu by tourist coach takes about 5 hours and transfer to hotel. In the evening, farewell dinner at a typical Nepalese cultural restaurant and overnight accommodation on BB Plan.

Jan 03: Day 14: Final departure to your port of destination.

With a farewell gift like Snowy Horizon T-Shirt or a pashmina Shawl, our representative will drop you at the International Airport (TIA) to assist you with your final departure to your home or you may join your next destination.
