Overview
Kailash Manasarovar Tour is the popular Holy Tour Package to Tibet. Most Hindu Pilgrims visit these sacred places: Mt. Kailash and Lake Manasarovar. Mt. Kailash is striking because it rises high above the surrounding mountain range and remains snow-capped all year.
The Tibetan name of the mountain is “Gang Rinpoche,” which means, “The Supreme Mountain”. Traditional Buddhist cosmology has often connected Mt. Kailash with Mt. Sumeru, the great mythological mountain that forms the axis of this world system. The power of this strange, domed peak has gripped the imagination of the people of Nepal, India, and Tibet for thousands of years. It has also gripped the imagination of people from all over the world who hope to see it in reality.
KAILASH OVERLAND TOUR (YATRA) takes you to the holy land of Mt. Kailash through the newly opened Nepal-Tibet border of Rasuwagadhi-Kyrung. The team of Snowy Horizon will embark on a journey to take you to worship and hike around the sacred land of Mt. Kailash—which is accessible from the outskirts of Nepal. The Yatra starts from Kathmandu with homage to Lord Pashupatinath temple & Lord Narayan Temple. We will drive through Langtang National Park and cross the Nepal-Tibet border at Rashuwagadhi. From the Rashuwagadhi border, we drive to Kyrung town. From there we further drive to Mansarovar Lake, and the base of the Holy Mount Kailash known as Yamadwar, enjoying the scenic view of a various landscape.
During the journey, you will have a darshan of sacred Mt. Kailash, Mt. Gurla-Mandata, Rakshash Lake, Hanuman Lake and Mansarovar Lake. The major attractions of this tour includes: the sacred peak of Kailash, the holy Lake of Mansarovar, and the highest pass of Drolma La. Outline Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport and transfer to hotel (1350m).
Day 02-04: Trip preparation and Kathmandu pilgrimage sightseeing.
Day 05: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, Lodge.
Day 06: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kyrung, Lodge.
Day 07: Full-day acclimatization at Kyirung, Lodge.
Day 08: Drive from Kyrung to Saga, Lodge.
Day 09: Drive from Saga to Mansarovar and Puja, Lodge.
Day 10: Drive from Mansarovar to Darchen, Lodge.
Day 11: Drive to Yamadwar & Holy Trek to Dirapuk, Lodge.
Day 12: Holy Trek from Dirapuk to Zuthulpuk, Lodge.
Day 13: Holy Trek from Zuthulpuk to Darchen and drive to New Dongpa /Saga, Lodge.
Day 14: Drive from New Dongpa/Saga to Syabrubesi, Lodge.
Day 15: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu, Lodge.
Day 16: Kathmandu to Your Port of Destination.
Day-to-Day Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival and Transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu (1350m)
Upon your arrival, a representative of Snowy Horizon will give you reception at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and transfer you to your confirmed accommodation in a private/ tourist car/van/hiace/bus (Depending on group size) for overnight in BB Plan.
DAY 02: VISA APPLICATION AND PREPARATION
Make preparations for visa and other travel requirements & overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 03: FULL-DAY KATHMANDU CITY SIGHTSEEING
Have Breakfast. Leave for a sightseeing tour to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, and Patan Durbar Square. Have lunch during Sightseeing & overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 04: FULL-DAY KATHMANDU PILGRIMAGE SIGHTSEEING
Have Breakfast. Leave for a Pilgrimage sightseeing tour to Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swoyambhu, and Budanilakantha temple. Have lunch during Sightseeing. Return to hotel, briefing about the Yatra and preparation for Yatra & overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 05: DRIVE TO SYABRUBESI (140KM, 8HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast drive to Syabrubesi (1,550m, 140 km, 8hrs drive). After arrival at Syabrubesi, check-in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 06: DRIVE TO KYRUNG (55KMS, 1HR DRIVE)
After breakfast, drive to Nepal China Friendship Bridge (20 km, 30 min drive). Complete Immigration formalities on the Nepal side & walk approx. 15 minutes to cross Friendship Bridge. Complete all China-side immigration formalities & walk further ahead & get introduced to your Chinese guide/coach drivers. After introduction, proceed to Kyrung (2,700 M). Arrive in Kyrung & stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 07: FULL DAY ACCLIMATIZATION AT KYRUNG (55KM, 1HR DRIVE)
Today, you are free to acclimatize yourself. Freshly cooked breakfast, lunch, dinner, and sufficient tea/ coffee will be served. Overnight stay at a hotel in Kyrung.
DAY 08: DRIVE TO SAGA (105KMS, 4,640M, 4/5HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast drive to Saga (4,640 meters, 105km, 3/4hrs drive)/ New Dongpa (4,462 meters, 182km, 4/5hrs drive). There is nothing so special but you will enjoy the beautiful Tibetan landscape. After approx.3/4 hours' drive, you will reach Saga (4,640 M). Arrive in Saga and overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 09: DRIVE TO MANSAROVAR (410KM, 7/8HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast, drive to Mansarovar (4,556m). Arrive at Mansarovar, take a holy bath; perform Puja, Hawan, Dev tarpan, etc. (self). Freshly cooked dinner will be served at the edge of Mansarovar Lake & Overnight stay at the guesthouse.
DAY 10: DRIVE TO DARCHEN (30KM, 1HR DRIVE)
Drive to Darchen (4,664m), en-route visit to Chuigumpa hot spring will be organized. Finally arrive in Darchen & stay overnight at the hotel.
DAY 11: DRIVE TO YAMADWAR & HOLY TREK TO DIRAPUK
With a packed lunch box, drive to Tarboch Flag Polethe's first prostration point - an auspicious gateway &the sky burial ground. Visit Yamadwar& further drive to Sershong (8km/15mins drive), meet your porters/pony caretaker, etc. & trek to Dirapuk (4,765m, 10km, 5/6hrs trek) & Overnight stay at the guesthouse.
DAY 12: HOLY TREK TO ZUTHULPUK
Continue Parikrama over Droma La Pass (5,585m) to Zuthulpuk (4,700m, 22km, 7-8hrs trek) & Overnight stay at camp/ guesthouse.
DAY 13: HOLY TREK TO NEAR DARCHEN & DRIVE TO NEW DONGPA/SAGA
Last and final day Kailash Parikrama ends near Darchen (4,664m, 14km, 3-4hrs trek). Drive to New Dongpa (350km, 6-7hrs, drive 4,464m) or Saga (4,640m, 430km, 7/8hrs drive). Packed lunch will be served on the way & Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 14: DRIVE TO KYRUNG/ SYABRUBESI (145KMS, 4/5HRS DRIVE)
Drive to Kyrung (2,700m, 105km, 3/4 hrs drive). Arrive in Kyrung city, lunch, and further drive to Nepal/China border (20km, 30 min drive). Complete the China side immigration formalities and cross the bridge and complete the Nepal side Immigration formalities. After completing immigration formalities, you will be picked up and driven to Syabrubesi (20km, 30mins drive). Arrive at Syabrubesi and check into the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Syabrubesi.
DAY 15: DRIVE TO KATHMANDU (140KMS, 7/8HRS DRIVE).
Breakfast and drive to Kathmandu (140kms, 7/8hrs drive). Lunch will be arranged on the way. Arrive in Kathmandu and check-in to the hotel. An evening farewell program will be organized which is followed by dinner & Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 16: Kathmandu to Your Port of Destination
With a farewell gift like a pashmina or Snowy Horizon T-Shirt, our representative will drop you at the International Airport (TIA) to assist you with your final departure to your home or the next destination.
