Honey Hunting is an age-old tradition in some mountain areas of Nepal. This is a tradition twice (spring and autumn) a year to collect the wild honey from the hive hanging on a rock hill. This typical adventurer tradition is now promoted as a touristic activity during the hunting period as the Honey Hunting Tour. The hives are made in the rock at a height of about 300-400 meters from the ground by the indigenous wild bees. The locals celebrate honey hunting as a festival by offering flowers, grains, and sheep to God before hunting. The leader of the hunter drops down from the top of the rock by the bamboo ropes ladder while others help him to collect the honey, relay the basket, and hold a rope correctly. While one going to enjoy the honey hunting they can enjoy Nepal's natural, and cultural beauty and Himalayan view at the same time.

Day-to-Day itinerary:
Day 01:Arrival and Transfer to Hotel in Kathmandu (1350m).
The representative of Snowy Horizon assists to give you reception at Tribhuvan International Airport upon your arrival and transfers you to check-in at the pre-booked hotel in Kathmandu for BB Plan overnight accommodation.
Day 02:Drive from Kathmandu to Khudi overnight lodge.
Drive from Kathmandu to Khudi (790m) via Besishahar along the Prithvi Highway, which takes about eight hours and overnight at the teahouse.
Day 03:Trek to Ghanpokhara village Home Stay at Honey Hunting Site.
In the morning after breakfast trek to the honey hunting site which takes 2-3 hours from Khudi, where local villagers will welcome you with an open heart. Enjoy hunting honey and trek to Ghanpokhara overnight at Homestay Village Tour Program.
Day 04:Explore Ghan Pokhara and Enjoy the Honey Hunting day trip.
The next day morning after breakfast, visit the honey-hunting site and enjoy the program. In the evening, you will enjoy cultural dances performed by local Gurung people in Ghanpokhara and overnight at the same Home Stay.
Day 05:Trek to Khudi, drive to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
After breakfast, trek back to Khudi and then drive to Kathmandu via Prithivi Highway, this takes about eight hours to drive and then transfer to the hotel.
Day 06:Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley
After having breakfast at about 9 AM you will be taken to visit Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath and Swayambhunath (the Monkey temple), and the historic heritage site “The Kathmandu Durbar Square” accompanied by Kumari the Living Goddess; overnight at the hotel on BB Plan.
Day 07:Final departure to your port of destination
The trip ends. Snowy Horizon Representative will drop you at the Kathmandu International airport for your final departure from Nepal to your port of destination.
