Snowy Horizon Treks and Expedition is operating the pilgrimage tour combining Kathmandu and Muktinath, in Mustang bridging by the most beautiful touristic destination, Pokhara. The itinerary of the package is designed especially for the Hindu pilgrims arriving in Nepal from India. Though Nepal is declared a secular country, the majority of Nepalese people are followers of the Hindu religion. Nepal covers several attractions and pilgrimage sites for Hindus around the world and thus Snowy Horizon is ready to welcome them for their pilgrimage tour come true. In this package, we offer our pilgrims of 04 Nights 05 Days packages with the below attractions and various natural and cultural tastes within the scheduled area.

Kathmandu

Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and is situated in a valley, approximately at a height of 4,600 ft., surrounded by four major mountains namely Shivapuri, Phulchowki, Nagarjun, and Chandragiri. The city is the gateway to Nepal Tourism and the center of the country’s economy. Its history dates back to over 2000 years ago and it was on the ancient trade route between India and Tibet which caused a fusion of artistic and architectural traditions of other cultures that can be witnessed even today. Pashupatinath

Pashupatinath is Nepal’s most important Hindu temple and stands on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. The temple is located 100m away from the end of the runway at Kathmandu’s International Airport and is a powerhouse of Hindu spiritual power where devotees of Shiva and Sadhus flock from across the entire sub-continent. Non-Hindus cannot enter the main temples but the surrounding complex of Shaivite shrines, Lingams, and Ghats (stone steps) is fascinating and worth the visit. Boudhanath

Famed for its Stupa, Boudhanath pulsates with life as thousands of pilgrims gather daily to make a ritual circumnavigation of the dome beneath the watchful eyes of the Buddha. This is one of the few places in the world where Tibetan Buddhist culture is accessible and unfettered. The lanes around the Stupa are crammed with Monasteries and workshops that make butter lamps, ceremonial horns, Tibetan drums, singing bowls, and plumed hats for Lamas and other essential Buddhist paraphernalia.

Swayambhunath

Swayambhunath is a place that offers one of the definitive experiences in Kathmandu. This sacred locale, a monkey temple, is always mobbed by monkeys and is a chaotic jumble of Hindu and Buddhist iconography. A gleaming white Stupa makes for its center and is topped by a gilded spire painted with the eyes of the Buddha. What makes it an absorbing experience are the ancient carvings made into every spare inch of space and the smell of incense and butter lamps hanging heavy in the air.

Durbar Square

In history, Durbar square was the king’s seat of ruling and it is here that kings were crowned and their undisputed authority legitimized. Today, it is the traditional heart of the old town and still boasts some of the world’s most spectacular architecture. The entire square is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is made up of three loosely linked squares and many terraced platforms which make for a great spot to view Kathmandu in motion.

Budhanilkantha

The stone circa of 8th century of sleeping Narayana (God Vishnu) with a larger size than human life body, on the coils of a cosmic serpent on the infinite ocean from which the world emerges located in the North part of central Kathmandu in Nepal is known as Budhanilkantha. The Lord is shown lying down on a thousand-headed snake named Shesha Nag (Ananta- Nag) means timeless or ageless snake. “This primal insight into the dreamlike nature of the world of appearances has an oddly contemporary resonance given the direction of modern scientific thought.

The Muktinath

The sacred place for both Hindus and Buddhists located at an altitude of 3,710 meters at the foot of the Thorong La pass in the Mustang district, Nepal is known as Muktinath. The site is close to the village of Ranipauwa in Muktinath Valley. The Hindus call the sacred place Muktinath Mukti Kshetra, which means the "place of salvation". Mainly the temple is of a predominant Sri Vaishnava origin and is worshipped by Buddhists. “Chumig Gyatsa” is the name of this sacred place of Tibetan Buddhists which means 'Hundred Waters'. For Tibetan Buddhists, Muktinath-Chumig Gyatsa is a significant place for dakinis, goddesses known as Sky Dancers, and one of the 24 tantric places. They understand the murti to be a manifestation of Avalokiteshvara. Muktinath is considered to be the 105th among the available 108 Divya Desams. The ancient name of this place, before its Buddhist origin is known as Thiru Saligramam. These houses the Saligrama Shila considered to be the naturally available form of Sriman Narayana, the head of Hindu God. It is also one of the 51st Sakthi Pithams.
